LEATHER TIPS and SHIPPING: Hides are sold by the square foot, marked on the hide. All hides are natural-shaped and cannot be measured "by the yard" as fabrics. Splits are suede on both sides. SF stands for "square feet". Most hides are 7 - 8 square feet, so we may substitute these if other sizes are not available. *Shipping charges are not figured correctly on every order due to the weight of hides vary and fluctuating shipping fees. A flat rate of $17.50 is charged, but the actual shipping fee may be less and sometime more depending on the size of order. Beautiful "light smoked" buckskin-colored elk hides and heavy white commercial elk hide for you larger garment projects. Usually one of these elk hides will make an entire skirt or top for a dress, or body of a shirt. Suede on one side.
