Slangblossom
is Arbor Record’s freshest new Hip Hop group. Not
limited to the standard DJ and emcee format, each member
of Slangblossom can produce and play various
instruments. Featuring Hip Hop artists Daybi, P–nut,
Wab and DJ Yann Solo, the group melds their talents to
explore and push the direction of their creations. These
boys from central Canada have put together a killer
collection of songs that are dark and melancholy in
nature. It explores the harder edge that seems to exist
in today's disenfranchised youth. Visit Slangblossom at www.slangblossom.com to view their
awesome homepage. Their site includes an online store as
well as previews of their two upcoming 2004 video
releases titled “Possibly” & “The Hate”.

POSSIBLY:
Video Synopsis
Filmed in Montreal, POSSIBLY inter–cuts shots of the
group with a
hard–hitting storyline. The Video is in medium
rotation for 8 weeks on the Much Music television
network. The video is being aired a minimum of 5 times
per day:
A
middle–aged man wakes up and helps himself to $20 from
his wife's purse. He then proceeds to visit the local
bar, while his wife packs up and leaves. Stumbling out
of the bar, the man is obviously unhappy with his life.
At home he dresses himself with traditional Native
costume, then collapses outside with a bottle of
alcohol. He is approached by an ambiguous shadow that
may be a friend or a spirit. In any case, it's good
enough to help the man take the first step to improving
his life – by throwing away the bottle.
