The tipi (teepee) liner is an interior cloth wall that insulates and controls airflow in the tipi. A tipi cover alone provides sufficient mild weather shelter but in cool or hot weather a liner is essential. A properly pitched tipi cover is staked a few inches off the ground. Liners also provide extra privacy and prevents the people inside from being highlighted when light inside the lodge casts shadows against the outside cover wall.
The liner hangs from the inside of the poles and extends inward onto the ground a few inches, sealing the bottom of the lodge when a floor material (tarp, rugs, rug remnant) is placed over it. Cool outside air is drawn under the cover and channels up past the smoke flaps and out the smoke hole, taking the smoke with it.
Our tipi (tepee) liners are 6-ft., 13-oz. Sunforger Flame Retardant, Marine Boatshrunk canvas – price includes liner rope & storage bag.
9' tipi (teepee) liners are also available for any size tipi for winter use. Add 50% to the prices below for a 9-ft. liner.

Our tipi (teepee) poles are the best quality Lodgepole Pine (Lodge Pole Pine), nice and straight, with an average diameter of 2 ½”- 3” at the base, tapering to a nice point at the top, giving the teepee its graceful appearance. It is a good idea to order an extra pole, in case one gets broken. Our standard tipi poles are machined; hand-peeled poles are available at extra cost. Normal set is 15 poles in set and 2 for smoke flaps for all sizes up to 32'. Tipi Poles are shipped by the lowest carrier on the day poles are ready. The cost of shipping is invoiced separately when they are ready to be shipped.

The regular ozan is an interior drop ceiling or inside rain cover that forms a canopy over the back third of the tipi (teepee) behind the fire. It holds in heat and shelters the living area below. The Ozan is constructed of flame resistant, 13 oz per square yard Sunforager material. This 100% army duck, marine boatshrunk fabric is water and mildew repellent.
Exclusively from Earthworks, an Manataka's Extended Ozan reaches all the way to the front of the tipi (teepee) on a pulley system. When you don't need the extension, roll it up and tie it off so it functions as a standard ozan. Ties and Ropes - All ties are heavy weight. Rope is provided for tying the ozan to the poles.
