HEALING CLAY©

CRYSTAL CLAY MINERAL MASQUE

TOPICAL SKIN HEALER

For thousands of years, indigenous people of Turtle Island used the benefits of the healing clay for a number of external and internal ailments and to enhance physical and emotional health.  Medicine people of many tribes traveled great distances to obtain the blessings of the special clay found only at Manataka.]

HISTORICAL USES

In the old days, Indians used clay from many parts of the country in religious ceremonies as a body paint.

It is said the clay was used as a transformation masque.  That is, when the clay was applied, it created gateways through which energy, healing and information may pass.  As an act of primal urge or desire, the body was completely covered in clay as a way to discover unknown qualities of being and human essence.

When properly processed, a special preparation of the healing clay was used to draw out of the skin poisons such as spider bites, wasp, bee and ant stings.  The special clay also drew out severe skin irritants such as poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac.  For a people who lived outdoors most of their lives, it was great!

In ancient times when a woman was pregnant, specially prepared clay was rolled into tiny balls and taken internally on a daily basis.  The results were amazing!  Both mother and baby grew stronger and healthier with fewer birth complications.

The people also used the clay for external deep cleansing for detoxifying the skin.  Some clay worked better than others because not all clay is alike.  The clay found only at the Heart of Mother Earth, Manataka, is charged with a unique blend of natural ingredients that was excellent for both cleansing and healing!

HOW IT WORKS

Millions of years ago, cataclysmic geological events in the heart of the continent created a primal mixture of hot, super saturated minerals that included many rare minerals made of silicon and oxygen. Clear quartz crystals (SiO2) formed within this cooling mix of clay. The clay is a mixture of minerals, tightly bound together.  The clay has remained moist since its creation, maintaining its unique healing properties.

When used externally as a healing cleanse, the  clay is applied to the skin. The skin is the largest excretory organ of the body, about 18 square feet. As the clay dries a two way exchange occurs.

The flat, negatively charged clay particles act like a magnet, attracting the positively charged free radicals produced in the body, draws them out and eliminates them.

When minerals in the clay are absorbed through the skin (known as trans-dermal nutrition) debris is pulled from pores, hair follicles are unclogged, and exfoliated skin is removed.  Because of the special blend of natural ingredients, the moist clay mixture is able to flow into tiny pores and, as the clay dries, it shrinks, pulling loose whatever has absorbed it.

HOW MANATAKA HEALING CLAY© IS PREPARED

Members of the Manataka American Indian Council search crystal areas for the right kind of clay and painstakingly remove crystal chards, sediment and foreign substances by hand.

The crystal clay is then combined with other red clay from the crystal area and hand prepared to a silken soft consistency using mineral waters of Nowasalon (Breath of Healing) exclusively from the Place of Peace, Manataka.  The key to bringing out the healing qualities of the clay are the secrets used in the preparation process.

Manataka Healing Clay© contains all natural ingredients and nothing else is added.

ALL ABOUT CRYSTALS & HEALING

From as far back as the days of the legendary lost city of Atlantis, through the ancient Mayan and Hebrew civilizations, and including Far Eastern and Native American cultures, crystals and gemstones have been used both in spiritual rituals and as aids to physical healing.

Today the practice of using stones and crystals continues. Not only with the aboriginal shamans of Australia who use stones to commune with spirits, but with ordinary people across the world who claim extraordinary results.

How do crystals work? No one seems to know for sure. Tales tell that they were first used in Atlantis. Crystals became important to the people of that civilization who believed in their capacity to store and amplify any power source fed into them - physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. Practitioners of modern-day crystal therapy believe that the stones' ability to work as conductors allow them to focus energy via a person's thoughts to stimulate healing - both physical and non-physical.

However, in addition to medical controversy as to their efficacy, the use of crystals for healing is not an exact science. There is plenty of information available to describe which crystals and gemstones are good for treating certain ailments or for the prevention of certain conditions. The problem is that much of it appears contradictory.

Still, thousands of people world-wide swear by the use of crystals for a variety of mental, emotional, and physical problems. There are numerous claims that they aid such in diverse areas as harmonious relationships, allergies, and spiritual awakening.

Crystals are used in meditation and spiritual ceremonies, laid on the body during types of massage or bodywork, when a person is resting, or placed in drinking or bathing waters. It is claimed that an odd number of facets on the stone aid in healing, while an even number of facets create the best energizers. Red, yellow, and orange stones are said to produce energy, clear and aquamarine stones are healers, and lavender and blue-violet stones create calming effects.

Here is a list of commonly known crystals and their reputed benefits. Please note that this information is not intended to replace any licensed medical or psychological treatment. No guarantee is made towards validity, and the use of any crystals for the claims listed below is at your own risk.

Soak from 15 minutes to one full day depending upon how many people have touched the stone. Rinse under cool water and dry with cotton or silk.

Burying: Wrap the crystal in cotton, silk, or linen and bury it in a place you feel comfortable. Leave at least 24 hours.
