I started crafting necklaces over a year ago and haven't been able to stop! Once friends and family started seeing my own handmade necklaces, they wanted one for themselves. I think everyone in my family now has something made by myself. I have been taking beading classes to learn new techniques, including how to finish the clasp so it's neat and comfortable.

I like working with natural materials including wood, bone, obsidian snowflake, howlite, turquoise, amethyst, and Heishi.

I am not a full blooded Native American. I am of Métis descent.  My  heritage is Wampanoag, Narragansett, Abenaki mixed with English, French, and Irish. I even have an ancient ancestor from India.

I am active in our Native American Community here in New Hampshire and Southern Maine. I enjoy attending powwows, our monthly women's circle and the various other events that go on in the area. New Hampshire no longer has any reservations and most of us are of mixed heritage. But all of us honor our ancestors, their traditions and teachings. Elders still teach and we are here, listening and learning from them. I truly enjoy getting together with my extended family for powwows and to celebrate our Native ways. You can find more information about my journey here.

I hope you enjoy my creations, I enjoy making them.
